Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

Another not so wordless weekday ... a photo essay ...all the colors of the spectrum!

Color of the Rainbow by Richard WeisserThis post is about color. Some photographic subjects lend themselves well to color. It tickles the optic nerve and explodes into your brain.

Color is both a delineator and a separator. It defines attitude and the aura of the shot.

Sometimes I take photos of color (which are different than color photos) just for the sake of it ... with no binder to any sort of reality.

Here are some examples of color shots that I really like!

That last picture makes me hungry for something spicy but reminds me of the heartburn I know will follow.

Your talent is evident Richard.

Very cool. Sometimes I love to mix color on canvas just for the sake of enjoying color and texture. :-)

That's what I call some pretty "hot" pictures in more ways that one.

Ah yes, those bottom colors are pretty nice.  I'd add a container of Volcano Spice.  It really dresses up a dish.  Your post WAS about food wasn't it???

Colors were explained to me once, but I really didn't get it at the time.  I'm am just starting to understand the power of color and how it makes people feel.  I think a lot of people could be more successful with this knowledge.

Richard:  Colors can have such a big impact on our moods, productivity, etc.  I have been log jammed as what colors I would like to paint the interior of my home.  I see so many I like when I am out and about.  It's hard to decide.

The colors are so intense. it is not the subject matter it is the color that draws the eye to the photo.

Richard, what is the subject of the first photograph? A flower? It's very interesting as are the others. So your other job is a photographer? You could definitely have a career there if you chose to.

Great shots, Richard!  I saw a photo online tonight where the photographer arranged colored pencils - point to point - and placed a pencil sharpener on top of them to make it appear to be a zipper.  Quite interesting actually.

Richard,

Great photos. I'm curious though; what is that first one a picture of?

Posted by Terry Chenier (Homelife Glenayre Realty) about 4 years ago

Rich, are you in the right business. I have a feeling that there is a hidden photographer within the Realtor. I'm very impressed with the pictures you took, your right its nice to just look at colors and appreciate them just the way they are.
