First of all, there is no central theme to this article. I am having a little problem with focus and daylight is burning so I decided to bring a few facts to your attention.
- Today is income tax day for corporations. If you have a corporation, your annual tax return for 2008 is due today.
- Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day. Now, I have never understood all of the fuss, but I'm not Irish do that may have a lot to do with it. I'll try to avoid wearing green, though, because I like getting pinched!
- At 11:44 UTC on Friday, the path of the sun will fall directly above the equator, and the Vernal Equinox will occur. That translates into equal hours of daylight and darkness everywhere on earth!
- The first full moon after the vernal equinox is Thursday April 9th, which is both Passover and Holy Thursday this year by coincidence.
- Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox, thus, April 12th!
Well, that's my stream of consciousness thoughts for today; I hope that you found them interesting. Thanks for reading!

Inspiring post for a dreary Monday morning. Love that shot of the moon! Awesome!
You said the 'T' word. Bad, bad Richard!
My stream of consciousness is not fully awake yet. I had dinner at my lovely Irish neighbor's home Saturday night for a traditional meal of corn beef and cabbage and man oh man, was that good.
Well, Well, Well glad to see that there are still some thoughts to be had after the busy week last week. And they do seem to be somewhat lucid too.
Richard,
So did you know all of this and simply tell us, or did you have to look any of it up? Either way, good report. :)
Steve
Richard, Stream of consciouness thoughts are always interesting. They say so much about the writer. Rich
I like # 3 -- this means spring IS here! Goodbye winter, goodbye snow, goodbye ice! I've got my allergy meds ready.. ,
Stream of consciousness and Passover indeed. Nicely, er.... "put together"?
Carol...
Thanks, Sometime I just start writing and let it flow! THX
Mel...
I thought it might keep at least one person out of trouble! Get those extensions filed TODAY! ;)
Susan...
I have been toying with the idea of making my own corned beef ... but it takes a week to pickle so I have to plan ahead! Thanks.
Hi Richard,
Your stream of consciousness is very awake for 7:46 a.m.!
Mine goes something like this......I think I'm alive, I think this is Monday, tomorrow is St. Paddy's day, do I really want to wish people the luck of the Irish considering all their apparent bad luck?, I need to do a lot of work today.
You are a much more complex creature than me!
Don...
Lucidity occurs on Monday mornings! lol and thanks.
Steve...
I knew the facts, but had to look up the exact times for 2009! THANKS!
Rich...
And hopefully, they say good things. THX my friend!
Ok Buddy That was Random! Have a good Monday
Are you the current author of 'The Farmers Almanac? You would make a great edition to their team.
Taxes Today!?! I 'd better get off of here and get busy.
Richard...this stream of thoughts is about all I ever can put together! Have a great week!
Perfect post for today because I have no intention of doing any thinking today. I had a busy weekend full of thoughtful activities.
Today is mine.
Well I've done my taxes! And, always on St. Patrick's day...I fix corn beef and cabbage with potatoes. We are having a small dinner party and will have green beer...
I agree with Meridian, you have a lot on your mind for that early in the morning. I was unaware of the vernal equinox and will be sure not to miss it. Thanks for the information. Give your brain a break.
Wow thanks for the interesting facts I liked them made me think of other stuff that I dont really think of thanks for sharing. I didn't know about the vernal equinox either I will try to remember that too.
Thank you,
Kim White
Richard, I found your "stream of consciousness" very interesting - BUT, any mention of income taxes always depresses me. :-)
Yahoo - the vernal equinox means spring is right around the corner - I'm ready for warmer weather.
Mike
Well Richard for your vernal or autumnal equinox day you are supposed to be able with the balanced gravitational forces to be able to stand an egg on end without it falling over. If you get bored, try it and take a photo when successful. I know, you have better things to do LOL.
Did I just hear a bunch of realtors running to the fridge to get out an egg?
Richard: So you like getting pinched! Interesting. I had learned to love St. Patty's Day. I'm part Irish, but mainly, I love it now because my Broker is Irish and serves Irish coffees and traditional Irish soda bread after work. It's fun and she makes a mean Irish Coffee.
Richard it depends on who is trying to pinch me. I might have green and I might not.
I'm planning on working on St Patrick's day tomorrow maybe a couple of green beers will help me understand the fuss better.
Careful with #2, that's a very important day.
Richard, you weren't kidding about there being no central theme to this post! lol
Great thoughts though!
I enjoyed this post, even though I didn't get to it until Tuesday. I especially liked the photo. It leaves me filled with wonder.
Our weather should clear today and get back to the warm trend we all want so badly. What a dreary weekend we had!
