There's something to be said about having a lot to do. When you're busy, you day is laid out in front of you in little segments, like individual programs that must play out on their own, each with it's own conclusion.
The first to do item in my day is always to write my morning post. On busier days like today, it takes a little effort but I feel that it's a worthy endeavor that merits some of my precious time every day.
I have my schedule in my head. One day, I need to start writing things down or use technology to assist me with my planning, but for now, I am still able to move from act to act from memory, with only the occasional forgetfulness.
But once I get out the door the race is on and the day will fly by. Hours will become minutes as I work frantically to achieve all that I have planned. I will complete all of my tasks on time, for one must make hay while the sun shines.
So it's time to get going, and get busy. It's going to be a hectic frenzy of a day, and I love every minute of it!

Richard... I love the days that are chock full of appointments, they give buyers and sellers the right impression that some are busy and waiting for something to happen isn't in their best interests.
I'm gearing up for a busy few days. Out of town military clients coming in for a house hunting trip, volunteer time at the local Arts Center, open house and another buyer to take out on Sunday morning. Today is get organized day and make sure I'm ready to roll when the clients land at 9AM on Friday.

Morning Richard -- I was tracking with you step for step until you stated you keep it all in your head. Maybe once upon a time, that was possible for me, but now with one S-Corp and two LLC's, while running a full-time RE sales business -- and adding into that mix; short sale investing, rehabbing, light construction, and running the growing Two Rivers REIA of Central Iowa, LLC -- my Palm 680 is an invaluable tool.
I have to have a Palm, because my Supra eKey uses the infrared to open lock boxes and Blackberry's do not currently support Infrared. I don't know what you MLS uses, but I highly recommend the Palm units, inspite of all of the Blackberry hoopla.
I absolutely could not spin all of these plates without it. You may be a lot brighter than I, or not subject to "sometimers disease" -- the ocassional forgetfulness brought on by aging, or just being a human -- but when you start that quest for a PDA to assist you in enjoying your day, I highly recommend the Palm units.
Like all technology gadgets, however, keep them backed up! Eventually, they will ALL fail, and that day you will not enjoy.

Richard, I must be getting old, because I need to write down everything for the day ahead or I'll easily forget things. The trouble is trying to remember where I wrote it!
I am impressed! I simply can't remember everything and have to write EVERYTHING down to be organized. I'm still old school...appointment book.
I rarely write things down myself, and like you, I like to be busy. It does make to day rush on by, but it's better than the alternative.
Busy is great but I need to have my schedule or I might miss an appointment.
Richard, I plan my day out in advance, but I must say it is nice to be busy again.
Richard: When things get too busy I have to break things down into a To Do list. Otherwise, I feel off balance somehow.
Richard...I love the hectic day! When you get all done and have accomplished what you set out to do, makes relaxing so much sweeter!
I have to write down eat lunch and so forth or I won't!! If it isn't written it isn't done!

The day flies by when it is busy but being the techno guy that I am I WRITE things down in a day planner.
Hi Richard! OH, how I wish I had a pill that would give me more time in just MY day and no one elses! LOL Being a perfectionist takes more time out of my day! If I could add more hours, it would be EARLY in the morning because the phone doesn't generally ring until 8:30 or 9!
