Although I was very busy in the last few days showing property, I always manage to to take a few photos here and there.
Today, my adventures took me near Black Rock Mountain State Park in Clayton Georgia. So I decided to take a quick detour and take the short hike to Ada-Hi Falls. The falls don't have a lot of volume, but they are over 50 feet tall and easily accesses after a quarter mile hike.
Although the short trek consumed less then an hour of my time, I was refreshed and a bit invigorated after the climb back to the car!
There is beauty all around us, if we just take the time to enjoy it!

Richard, the photo is beautiful! There are so many beautiful falls in Georgia. What was the exposure for this? Looks like time-lapse?

Nikon D80, 1.5 seconds at F22. I did not have a tripod with me so I propped the camera on a rail! Thanks for noticing, I love the lacy beauty of long exposures!
Richard, you have a really steady hand. Even on a rail, it's hard to hand hold an exposure and have it so clear. Great job!

I have learned over the years to improvise! I always know the shot I want, but getting it is another story. When I shot film I had to wait DAYS to see if I succeeded, the digital almost makes it too easy! THX

You said the magic words that "even though you had been busy showing property". I believe that 2009 is going to be a much better year than the predictions. Everyone seems to be busy.
Sorry, I get off track. Wonderful photo and great post but I am sure you have that written 20,000,000 times in your posts (by me). Isn't it great that we live in places where we can take an hour and take a mini vacation......

It's always a good idea to "recharge" every once in a while. Overlapping by getting another great shot is just an added bonus.

A change of perspective is worth the time. Some times we get so wrapped up in the moment we forget the real objective ... enjoy being here! Anything that reminds us of our purpose is valuable! Nice post!
Richard: My invigoration came out of nowhere yesterday. After I wrapped up with my buyer (no luck finding her a home...yet), and had updated my database, I was preparing for a trip to the grocery store. I grabbed an apple to eat first (I hate shopping hungry). For some reason, I found myself skipping around my kitchen island. I won't complain...I haven't had a mood this good in years, but I felt light as a feather and full of giggles. I promise, I wasn't drinkning. :)
Ah....I myself have been recharging. I took the Christmas break off with the kids. When I went back to work on Monday I felt great and the phones have been ringing. Whoo Hoo what a great feeling!
I need one of those... a few days off to recharge. Maybe sometime this spring.
Anytime you get a chance to take a walk in the mountains, I think it's a good thing.

Richard - Awesome shot - love long exposures. Saw your comment above about the D300. CMOS sensor with the new image processing, 6fps, 51AF, and 3-inch 920K dot color LCD. All I can say is wow wow wow.
