The annual Christmas Light up Senoia event for 2008 will take place in the historic downtown area on Saturday, December 6.
The Christmas parade will begin at 5:00 P.M. The parade features floats, marching bands, and of course, the arrival of Santa Claus!
Other planned activities include the official lighting of the city Christmas tree, food by local vendors, and lots of live music and performances! Santa's Secret Workshop will be open for the kids to purchase gifts on their own.!
Parents may bring their own cameras to have their children's photos taken with Santa. Mrs. Claus will be there too!
This event draws a huge attendance, so arrive early to allow time to find a parking place. Walking in suggested for nearby residents!
It's a once a year tradition that's not to be missed, so mark your calendars now!
Slide Show is from the 2007 Senoia Christmas Parade.

This looks like a lot of fun. We do something similar in The Colony. I made the banners for our float (friends of the colony dog park) but will not attend the parade. Tony's company Christmas party is on the same day, at the same time.
Richard, Again - you have taken beautiful picture!
Mel...
Aw, then you will miss all the fun. Unless Tony's company parties are fun, then you won't be missing anything. Check out the photo, I fixed it where it changes automatically!
Marlene...
Actually, it was supposed to be several pics ... they are working now!
The photo changing is too cool! I need to figure that one out! The party will be approximately 70 people. Most are engineers. Draw your own mental scenario... However, we try to make things fun by adding comedy relief. I don't know if you have seen this video. I will come back and edit it from my comment once I know you have watched it. We are just going to slip it into the mind numbing important stuff.
I love a good Christmas parade, love the slide show too.
Mel...
Ha... That is funny, and I KNEW that went on in many an office! You don't have to edit it out, it's fine! We had to cut our office party budget from $3,000 last year to $300 this year, but we will still have a great time! We are not even sure of the day yet, though.
JL...
Thanks, I'm trying different things!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go...
This looks like a lot of fun... what a wonderful time of year!
Shirley...
It really is, and I like it!
I am not sure if "High Tech Red Neck" fits you, but the High Tech part sure does. This is the first post i have seen like this...I am sure many are to follow!

The technology is actually very old, and doesn't require any seperate program or control, It's ismply a vert fancy animated GIF!
Richard,
This sounds like a fun event. BTW, I like the slide show.
Don...
It is a very small town but everyone is there kind of event! THX.
You are really getting high tech now! Love the pix and so happy they do not include the kids with the red rosy cheeks (last post) - they kinda creeped me out. LOL
Santa's gonna be a busy fellow soon. The little elves at the workshop (just down the street no less) are hard at work. Wonder if he's gonna be ready in time? :)
We plan the Christmas party in August. This year a very formal restaurant booked us. However, they double booked and canceled. As luck would have it another one (I prefer) had a cancellation so we got the spot! It all worked out nicely.

That child did NOT look happy, but a friend loves the picture because in real life the kid was awfully cute!
Jesse...
I doubt it ... the impending holiday is zooming in upon us!
Mel..
So that worked out! Speaking of which, I need to get this morning's post up!
That's right. Get to work!
Richard: This is a fun time of year and local holiday events make it all the better. Great localism post!
