As most of you know by now, I love to take fall photos! When you think of autumn photos, you usually don't head to the downtown area of a large metropolis like Atlanta.
But the seasonal color change is just enough to office the neutral steel, glass and stone exteriors of the skyline.
And the clear blue skies of fall make the photos really stand out. It's a rare combination of color and textures that doesn't exist any other time of the year.
No mountains in sight, just monoliths! I hope that you enjoy them.

Richard,
Thanks for the great photos. I love Atlanta! I have been fortunate enough to travel to Atlanta twice annually for at leas the last 23 years --- once in January and once in July. I love the city of Atlanta... and all of the people who live there ---- talk about southern hospitality!!
thanks again for the photos.
Vickie...
So now you have me curious. What happens in January and July?
I have only been to Atlanta twice. both times to the airport. Perhaps one day I can visit longer, looks nice.
This is beautiful!
Richare, those are GREAT pictures. I especially like that second one. We don't get much fall color in our area so I'm glad to at least see pictures of fall color.
Great pics. I really like the second, essentially just 3 colors but stunning!
John...
Everyone has been to the Atlanta airport at least once! lol
Valerie...
Thanks.
Marchel...
An interesting fact ... the gold on the capitol dome is real North Georgia gold!
Richard, I live here in Atlanta and have been taking pictures of the fall foliage too. I love it!
Terri...
It would make a great watercolor painting with those primaries!
Jen...
It has been good this year, not quite as good as last year! THX
As always, great pictures, now you're making me want to visit Atlanta.
Richard, great picture of Atlantic Station! Very awesome! I love visiting down town!
I miss Georgia in autum. Of course, spring is my favorite time of year in Georgia. But the photos are beautiful, thanks for sharing! ~A:)
It doesn't look real.
Richard, You are right about the bled of colors... Really neat... I really enjoy taking fall pictures too...
Richard, I love that picture of the Capital! As always, thanking for sharing your wonderful photos!
RW,
You have a way of finding the right shot all of the time, or at least that is what I am thinking. I can only imagine how many photos that we do not see. Good job my firend.
JL...

Jer...
It's a great town!
Alisha...
Atlanta is well known for its spring flowers, but fall, not so much! ;)
Mel...
Now, that's my job too!
Richard - Atlanta is my second home! I lived there 25 years and remember when Atlantic Station was Atlantic Steel - worked as a film producer for Jayan Films off of 14th Street. I LOVE Atlanta! Thanks for the breathtaking photos :)
Sharon...
I worked the NW Atlanta area for years. We had a Century 21 Office on DeFoors Ferry Road, ate at Bobby and Junes many times, and the Silver Grill on Monroe Drive was our second home! I actually worked at Georgia Tech from 1973-1976!
Hi Richard! These photos are gorgeous. This is another city I have never visited. I have a long list of places and this is one of them, that I just need to see. Thanks for posting this in Realtors and Friends that Read. xxoo
Richard it took a few minutes, but I then figured out the other pic was of the capitol building! Cool!
