There is nothing as exhilarating as beholding the enormity of creation. There is something in a beautiful vista that not only takes your breath away, but renews your spirit as well!
If you have ever traveled on the Blue Ridge Parkway or through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you will notice that the overlooks are rife with tourists who are awe-struck by what lays before them.
There are so many thoughts that run through your mind as you attempt to take it all in. You think of the Creator, and the font of life, and how small and insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things.
But there is also a sense of tranquility and peacefulness that comes with the realization that we are indeed part of a master plan, and that our presence is a reminder of our dependence on external forces that guide and direct us though life.
I am always humbled and rejuvenated at the same time. It's what keeps me going!

I am speechless, yet I comment. Breathtaking pic.
There are indeed many beautiful sights in the world!
Thank you for the beautiful photo...
Aloha Richard,
Great picture, there is something so special about being in touch with nature.
Hi Richard
In Florida I don't see many mountains but when I travel I find mountains as some what surreal, very peaceful and relaxing.
Good luck and success
Lou Ludwig
I am always awestruck and humbled by natural beauty, like that photo.
I have traveled through the Blue Ridge Mountains many times and every time is great.
Richard, as the boss and I hiked through the hills in Denali Park last week we would stop often and just stare out at the vast expanse of countryside before us. Everywhere you look you could see the hand of God and it was simply breathtaking. I love that photo, btw!
That's how I feel about the Eastern Sierras, Richard. It puts the life back in my soul every time I visit.
Life is indeed beautiful and good and it is nurturing to forget the daily humdrum and consider the vastness of the mountains.
Mountains are the best! I remember when I lived in Iowa...I would say, " It is the 20th century and Iowa doesn't have any mountains yet?' So I moved back to Oregon! How can anyone look at those beautiful mountains and not realize there is a Creator?
Hi Richard,
Positive post and spectacular photo. I'd love to see that part of our wonderful county some day. Keep up the great work!
