The Hunter Complex is Sharpsburg Georgia is a 54 acre facility that is one of the centerpieces of the Coweta County Parks and Recreation Department.
It is convenient to residents of both Sharpsburg and Newnan, and has the capacity to handle multiple events. It is one of the most popular sports facilities in the county, with good reason.
The park features:
- Two adult softball fields.
- Four youth softball/baseball fields.
- Three football fields.
- A special needs baseball field.
- A gymnasium with basketball and a weight room.
- Two tennis courts.
- Playground facilities.
- A walking trail around the perimeter of the park.
- Plenty of parking for everything!
The crown jewel of the complex is the Coweta Field of Courage. This is a completely soft surfaced ball field that is completely wheelchair accessible, from dugouts to the pitcher's mound. It provides the opportunity for those with special needs to participate in organized sports!
Coweta County recognizes the needs of all of its citizens, and is determined to provide adequate recreational opportunities for everyone!
