With all of the tensions and troubles in the world, sometimes like to think back to better days. I had the opportunity, several years ago, to spend a week on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
It is a place of astounding beauty. Great effort has been taken to restore the coast to it's pristine and natural condition. There are also picturesque historic towns and villages that a a visitor's delight and a photographer's dream.
The Atlantic Ocean is cold here, with temperature in the 50's even in July. But the seals love it, and they are a common sight along the rocky shore. And you can't beat a New England clam bake with a fresh lobster. Now that's good eating!
Cape Cod is a great family place to visit. Great beaches, outstanding dining, historic architecture, freshwater pond, bike paths and entertainment facilities. If you haven't been there yet, put it on your short list of vacation destinations!

That water is very, very cold for a gal from Texax!
I never said I was getting into the water. I just want to get outta dodge. It looks like a nice enough area to escape from my own little world for a while.
Richard, I lived in Mass a few years back, but never made it to the Cape. I need to put it on my list of places to go. Great picture!
Good Post!

The lobsters are fabulous ... and lots of great watering holes! So very different from the South in style and culture, it's very interesting.

It's the best part of the state!
If you're in the area, my friend is a broker in Buzzards Bay: Julie keene. Interesting market out there.

I know thta property on the Cape went crazy for a while ... I don't know how it's doing right now, but I'll bet it's better than most areas. Thanks.
Hi Richard,
I love visiting P-town so much to see, thats a great photo. Next time your in town you will have to check out Buzzards Bay the water is usually much warmer on this side on the cape! :)

I have been clmming in the Eastham area in a place called Boat Meadows? At low tide you can walk out a mile! Provincetown is great, but real estate prices are insane!
So what's a great place to stay on the Cape? Suggestions?
Erica...
lol I stay at my brother's house! He has one in Eastham, so I don't really know about other opportunities! Try the local newspaper classifieds, and thanks for asking, sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Never been east of Alton, Illinois...unless you count a trip through the Atlanta airport and a cab ride to a football game...a cab ride back to the airport and a leaving. I dont think that counts...lol

Oddly enough I have never been any farther West than Little Rock Arkansas! College football, I presume?
I spent many summer vacations at Cape Cod as a child! It is as lovely as you say! While the water may curl your toes with how cold it is, the area is rich in all manner of history! I haven't been back in 20 years; I will need to correct!
