Sometime there is a song which just sticks in your head, Try as you might, you can't override, ignore, abort of cancel the music. It has wrinkled your gray matter, and nothing short of a lobotomy will restrain the refrains.
I was a huge Beatle fan. I bought every Beatle album, and learned to play every Beatle song on the guitar. The Beatles were as much of a part of my adolescent life as any other contributing factor. It was with great dismay that I heard the news in 1970 that the Beatles were breaking up.
After the Beatles split up, each went their own separate ways, perusing individual careers. George Harrison released his classic three album set "All Things Must Pass." George was one of the first rock stars to organize a large charity musical event, and his "Concert for Bangladesh" raised money for humanitarian purposes in the newly independent country.
George released several more albums, "Dark Horse" and "Somewhere in England" to name two, which were nice bits of work but less than memorable.
But in 1987, George released "Cloud Nine" which contained the Beatles' tribute "All Those Years Ago" and a cover of James Ray's early 1960's song; "Got my Mind Set on You." It was the latter, propelled by several popular videos on MTV, that achieved the most lasting position in music history
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
Be FOREWARNED! By watching these videos with the sound on, the earworm will spawn in you brain, and you'll have this song in your head for the rest of your life. But hey, it's a great tune!

I am a huge Beatles fan. I have seen Paul live a couple of times and can't wait for his next go round.
Richard - You, my friend, are quite fast. Thanks for being the first one to enter this month's contest!
I'm an "early" Beatles fan. I was sorry, when they split up, but by that time I was less enamored, of their music. To me, the songs The Beatles bring to mind are (in no special order):
"I want to hold your hand", Can't buy me love", "And I love her", "Tell me why", "A hard Day's Night", If I Fell (in love with you)", "Any time at all", "It won't be long", "All my loving", "Ticket to ride", and "Yesterday."
I'm sure I left out a few, but you get the picture. These are the songs that transport me back in time.
Richard,
Great post....can't believe Crouch didn't already know you were fast.....
Jeffrey and Mona...
They were and still are a huge part of our culture. Thanks.
Jason...
It was easy because that song has been stuck in my head! lol Worked out great.
Marilyn...
Before Revolver, 90% of all Beatle songs were love songs. Since Revolver, 90% were NOT! Interesting, but I liked almost all of their songs, with a few exceptions. Never liked "The Long and Winding Road," "Blue Jay Way," or "The Sun King" to name a few. Love "Strawberry Fields Forever<" that one could stick in your head!
Julie...
Well. I do like to be first lol!
I love George Harrison! Thanks for choosing him for your entry. That song definitely does stick in your head! One of my favorites of his is Blow Away. That one can run through my brain for days when I remember it.
Luckily this song doesn't get stuck in my head...
Jeremy...

Richard,
Great post! Love the Beatles too, "Michelle" is my favorite Beatles tune! Wow, the first to post your song, very impressive. I like your song pic, I just hope it doesn't get stuck in my head.
Michelle...
I had a case of writer's block when the contest announcement was posted so it gave me something to write about ... and at that time, the song was indeed stuck in my head! Thanks for the nice comment.
