It’s such a silly superstition! The notion that a regularly occurring calendar day can foment chaos and calamity in our otherwise “normal” lives borders on the absurd.
But human beings by nature are reactive. So anything that does goes awry during our regular course of events will be deemed to be a side effect of the day of doom and not due to any of our own actions or lack thereof!
If a contract gets terminated, it’s because it’s Friday the Thirteenth and not because the buyer discovered a problem with the foundation.
If you car won’t start, blame the day and not your less than rigorous maintenance schedule.
If your favorite restaurant runs out of the lunch special, it is due to paranormal influences and not the fact that you arrived an hour later than usual.
You get the picture! The only difference between today and any other day?

Superstitions in human history have been around for millennia, and I suspect they will survive for many more. I do have to wonder, who was the originator of some of the superstitions.

I have never been superstitious...at all. And I actually forgot that today was Friday the 13th. Should I worry? Nah!

Friday the 13th has always been lucky for us. Of course in Real Estate any day can suck when the other side's bank doesn't get the money wired for your closing in time and their d**n lawyer closes at 12:30 on Fridays. Every Friday! I won't blame the 13th though. I know exactly who to blame.
