Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

Don’t be lulled to sleep by the current real estate market. It’s time to wake up!

Don’t be lulled to sleep by the current real estate market. It’s time to wake up!The never-ending saga of the real estate debacle seems to have lulled many potential buyers to sleep.

It was thrilling at first. Unprecedented numbers of defaults and a glut of low priced homes seem to have immunized many buyers from any inkling that there might be a time when the market recovers.

Where there was once zeal and enthusiasm, now there is complacency

As buyers continue to hit the “snooze” button, the opportunity to capitalize on low prices combined with miniscule interest rates will evaporate.

Fence sitters will end up with nothing more to show for their caution than a sore rear end.

The coffee is on the make and it’s time to wake up and smell it!

Richard, I agree. I am seeing people that are waiting and they have lost a house or two... soon it will be interest rates...I even had buyers think they could wait a few weeks until the glut of spring homes would come on the market. Guess what.. nothing much new.. so if you snooze you loose!

there are some really awake folks out there jumping at the market and if you get an awake buyer and a sleepy seller, you can help the buyer hit a home run!

Janis....

For whatever reason, we don't have a lot of houses on the market right now herein Newnan. It's getting harder and harder to find a bargain. THX

Mark...

It can happen, but the odds here are going down every day. Thanks.

Richard,  Buyers are gonna loose if they continue to snooze!  Were seeing a nice rebound in this market and buyers and sellers becoming more equals.  Times are a changing!

You are right.  The bottom will be gone by the time most realize the bottom has even arrived. It is the time to move off the fence!

Well put Richard. There are some very smart buyers out there, especially the move-up ones who are getting great deals on larger homes without changing their monthly payment.

Richard,

I've noticed an uptick in our market the last several months. Hopefully the buyers in your market see the great values that are out there these days

Richard -- multiple offers are pretty common in many parts of our market --- buyers who really want to buy should be well-prepared to act promptly and with intention!

Richard,  Wow!  All real estate markets are local.  I know many missed the bottom in my market.  It sounds like the fence sitters in your market are missing it too!  Maybe some Espresso will help?
