The dark drab dabs on palette dry,
The artist sets the old aside,
‘Tis Spring, now vivid, vibrant colors glow
From God’s own hand the pigments flow.
(R Weisser 2012)
Perhaps the drabness of Winter is such a stark contrast that our perception is skewed.
Perhaps we are so anxious to withdraw from the dark, dreary days that our observations are colored with too much enthusiasm.
Or is it just possible that in any context, the beauty of Spring is unsurpassed by any other season of the year?
As the blooms struggle to complete their life cycle before the leaf canopy obscures the sun, the resulting resplendence is a glorious spectacle to behold.
And it is fleeting. So enjoy it while you can!

Good morning, Richard. The colors are really popping here too. I need to break out the camera...
Thanks for sharing some beauty with us this morning Richard.
Life has its memorable fleeting moments so savor those times.
Sometimes it is a good idea to time your listing in certain regions to the schedule of the plants.
Michael...
This is one of those years where everything is blooming at once, and its's awesome! THX.

Good morning Richard,
Oh your pictures are stunning..such vibrant colors..you have also brightened my day :). Thanks for sharing.
Although we are as well experiencing the birth of Spring and all the gorgeous blossoms it currently is very overcast, dreary, windy, quite cool and rainy. So your beautiful pics have brightened my day. I also enjoyed your little "prose". Thanks for sharing.

Our roses and hydrangeas will be blooming soon, and then deeper into Summer the Crape Myrtles dominate the floral landscape. Thanks my friend.
Dorie...

Sue...
Now head over to the Smokies and see those wildflowers! Thanks.
Beautiful pictures. Reminds it is almost time for the Master's tournament. Love the azaleas and amen corner!
My two favorite seasons of the year are Fall and Spring. They have the most color changes.
Richard, it is truly my favorite time of year. Your pictures, and poem, are lovely.
Richard - Spring is a hard time for Debbie she misses all the color that Alabama brings. I will make sure to show her your photos. They will certainly be appreciated more than you know. We're still brown here... imagine that but we're warm and have spring winds so that makes spring officially here in Albuquerque :) Have a great and colorful day my friend.
Beautiful photos.............you can't beat the colors of sprin.g
Richard...Great shots.
I finally picked out a camera. I wnet with your suggestion of Nikon and am going with the D5100. It comes with the 18X55 lens and I am upgrading to include the 55-300 lens also. I have a lot to learn!
You may get a call or two. LOL Sometime late this coming week.
You take the most amazing pictures! Really! Awesome!
Hey, Richard! I included this post in Last Week's Favorites. Have a great week.
Richard, I came here from Pat's list. You have made me homesick. I sure miss Georgia. Go Dawgs!
Beautiful photos, Richard! It is amazing how invigorating spring colors can be!
Great shots, Richard! I especially like the last one with the bridge.
Simply gorgeous words and photos. Makes me even more anxious for spring, though, and it's still a ways off around here. Thanks for sharing yours.
Gretchen
As usual, your pictures are stunning! I'm still waiting to get them all together on a calendar :-)
Great photos, Richard! Visually stunning and so inviting. Although Summer is the season I love best, Spring is a close second because of nature's colors.
I always love your photos Richard. Things are starting to green up here as well. I love spring
