I have to leave my car at the shop today for some too-long deferred repairs. As you might expect, the universal forces have conspired against me and I have a million things to do.
My gut tells me to postpone the work but after nearly not making it home last night I know that prudence must override my natural instincts and it looks like I will be without wheels all day.
Machines need maintenance. It’s a fact of life. But in the real estate business, if we don’t have transportation we are dead in the water!
And that’s just the way I feel right now.
It’s going to be an interesting day.

Good morning, Richard.... when I was actively listing real estate, I always had two vehicle...a jeep and a mercedes....now I just have my trusty jeep(11 year old vehicle that works great) but when it needs servicing, it's time to rent a vehicle for the day.... I can't be without transportation...that would be like a day in jail.
Richard - Better sitting at home working on paperwork than sitting on a road somewhere hoping for a lift! Enjoy the day inside today!
As my Father the auto-mechaic always said: you can give me a little now and then or wait and it will be a whole lot more!

Been there. Then I just grab a different vehicle. The old truck is hard on gas, but gets me where I must be.
I always worry more about the bill!
It is such a pain to be car-less for a single day but the rewards will be tremendous. I am sure your day will still be quite productive!
Not sure which is worse... no internet or wheels. At least you have internet so you can work from home if you choose.
