Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

At some point you have to have confidence in your systems!

At some point you have to have confidence in your systems! If your job required you to hang in mid-air on the side of a building, you would be unable to perform your task satisfactorily until you had full confidence in your suspension system!

Setting a system in place is only the first step in achieving your ultimate purpose. You must employ the system with full confidence to be effective.

It may require additional training and a lot of nerve.

But once you take the plunge you must be able to forget about the underlying infrastructure and concentrate entirely on getting the job done!

Richard, you are so right.  If the support system isn't in place,  you will never be able to succeed.

Richard,  Once in place it helps us to monitor what works and doesn't work going forward every day! Success is an ongoing process of constantly evaluating that system too, and making changes as needed.

Trust is a hard thing especially when you are counting on someone else's work to complete your goals. I am not an IT guy buy I have to trust the systems to work...so I can pay attention to listing and selling. Nice post it has me thinking about what I can and can't control in my work environment.

Systems keep my business running on a daily basis. We must monitor and improve the ones that need it.

Constant monitoring of systems is different than not trusting the systems.  In fact, constant monitoring is what allows you to trust.  Those window washers inspect their safety gear before going over the side of the buidling.  We should also inspect our systems at appropriate times.

Good point. Sometimes I get a little two obsessisive with checking, rechecking and tweaking my systems. I need to just let them do their job!

That picture made my heart rate go up I think - I am afraid of heights!

Confidence in life is what it is all about.  No matter what your endevor, work or play, without confidence you are like a fish out of water.

Great photo, Richard! It's the perfect illustration for your topic. Know how to use your systems and then trust in them while you do the work.

The thought of even undergoing change in my support system makes my stomach flip...just as it would if you stuck me on that suspension contraption.

Sometimes I think I feel like those guys hanging from a strap, but it's good to know that's all in my head. You touch on a great point... Having a system is only half of it, the other is knowing what to do with it.

Hi Richard,

It took awhile for the photo to load (my computer connection at home- not your photo), but while reading your post I was imagining window washers.

Yes, systems are key!

Systems are the key to a duplicatable business. I agree once we have them in place, we need to use them and trust them! Thanks for posting!
