Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

True passion evokes deep and genuine concern.

True passion evokes deep and genuine concern.Take the rose from the withered field-worn hand
That neither drought, nor tempest daunted from the land
The servant's toils are tempered by a deep rooted faith
In troth, and passion, and loving grace.
                            (R Weisser 2012)

Sometimes even the most well-intentioned overtures can have undesirable side effects. And when emotion takes precedence over logic and common sense, it’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Because true passion goes hand in hand with caring and deep affection.  It is very hard to rile anyone that really doesn’t care or has no love lost on the matter.

But when a “nerve” is struck, it is often due to rousing feelings and emotions that may have been buried deep within the soul and which suddenly erupt and spew forth without interdiction.

And so which is worse? To offend no one because nobody cares, or to ruffle some feathers because there is deep rooted love and concern about the particular subject that may provoke an emotional response?

Call me an old fool, but I’ll take the latter any day.

Richard ~ I like this post. Showing emotion can reveal vulnerabilty but it does show that there are either empathetic or compassionate sides to those who truly do care. I too, would take the latter, because I would rather be seen as an altruistic fool than an uncaring Zombie.

Love the poetry and your beautiful ph9oto, a man of many talents!  We all need to feel a sense that we are cared for be it personally or through earned relationships with our clients.  We need to care .. care for others is a foundation for friendships and love.  When we give up caring what happens with our work, etc. then a void sets in.  Very nice thought provoking post!

Richard, I hear you. As one who was driven by emotion, rational thought process, actually pulled me out of a depressive milieu. But I do understand that you do not want a robot. I still find myself more firmly in the camp of rational, logic thought. However, a saying in the KW is logic makes you think, emotion makes you act. People in trouble need folks who are emotional.

Have a great day.

Jon...

Passion is what keeps us going. And keeps us from walking around like zombies!!! Thanks so much.

Connie...

It was motivated by recent event here at the "Rain. But I made it generic because it applies across the board. Thank you as always for the very kind words of support.

Cal...

Wow, that is actually quite profound, because that is absolutely the case in real life. Thanks for the comment.

There has been quite a bit of passion shown on AR this week.  The email to the ambassadors stirred up alot of emotions I have been reading about on AR as well as fb.  Have a good day, RW!

As much as I prefer LESS DRAMA on my days. .we can't  evade it

You are right. .deep wounds can be opened at the sight of one single word and anyone in/around the perimeter gets it!

Hi Richard,

This was the post I needed this morning. (I'm a day late reading it).  I agree with the latter as well.  I just happened to ruffle some feathers yesterday!!

Richard-you have a real gift, the ability to zero in and illuminate so many singular, distinct thoughts. I liked this very much. Passion is what adds color and gives meaning to all that is truly important. CAL: thank you for sharing that line, emotion is what makes us act...I work with a number of KW agents, never heard that one before.
