Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

If you are sitting around waiting for something to happen something will …GUESS WHAT!!!

If you are sitting around waiting for something to happen something will …There is a natural human tendency to “den” during the Winter months. Thousands of years of agrarian programming has instilled natural rhythms in our biology that coincide with the seasonal changes in both daylight hours and climate.

Overcoming these instinctive traits requires proactive intervention. It is not easy, as human nature is a powerful controlling force that left unchecked dominates our behavioral patterns.

It takes will power and extra determination to keep the machines of commerce oiled and the furnaces of industry fired during these days from solstice to equinox.

And if  you are just sitting around waiting for something to happen something will …. NOTHING!

Richard ... I agree with Margaret ... I'm not sitting, I'm out making things move every day!

Richard, I have been sitting, but not waiting! I've been introducing myself, via email, to local Realtors and haven't even had to wait for results! Yay!

Yup, that is the truth, especially in this business, with so many of us out there, right?

Richard great reminder!  Keep on keeping on year round, even when the bear in us wants to hibernate!

Although I have been told I am a bear at times...I don't hibernate in the winter.  All aspects of my life go on to ensure things happening in the future.

Richard, Now that the solstice has passed, I can see a difference in the light and it motivates me to move.

So true so true. The only thing that will happen is getting lazy and gaining a few pounds while going broke.

Richard - You are right...if you mae things happen and take action.  You get back what you put in.

Hi Richard: I see so many agents sitting and complaining but if they spent that valuable time - working towards a goal... they would be smiling... The market may be bad - but there are always buyers and sellers.

Richard - if you sit around waiting for something to happen it sure will ... your business will decrease, you will be bored, your financial income will dissolve and you become invisible to all with your business.  By sitting and waiting you will definitely create something ... FAILURE!

Richard,

You hit the nail on the head here.  Nothing being the key word.  I'm reading your blogs backward, so this is being read on the 14th (I've had a busy few days)  it seems like you have a theme going here.  (for your next 3 blogs you will write in the future....he he)

Newman, I couldn't agree you more! You are right, we should not sit and wait. The chances are always belong to people who prepared well.

Thanks for sharing this great post with us!

Have a nice day!

I think of floor duty like that - sitting around and waiting - usually nothing happens.  It's just not a good way to spend one's time.

Great stuff Richard.  There are so many agents in my office that sit around and wait, not only in the winter months.  Guess how much they sell?

Exactly.

So true, Richard.  My mother used to say it's not going to ring the front door.  Get up and do it!

Hi Richard

One phrase that I keep repeating is "Pray to God, and continue rowing toward shore"  If you want to survive and thrive, you have to keep pushing forward.

Well I agree that if you want to get things done, you've got to do things.  On the other hand, I really love the time I can make for myself to do absolutely nothing.  I think it's like exercising too much.  You have to take some days off to heal.

Well you have to kep the lights on and the house warm. So why not get off your rear and do what you do best.

You have to move to keep getting listings and selling. If you don't you will lose in the end.

Richard:  This goes well and hand-in-hand with the old saying about "a rolling stone ...".  How in the world do you think stagnation works in OUR business??  Boggles the mind ...
