I was out “in the county” yesterday previewing some properties. Coweta County Georgiais one of those locales that takes you directly from urban to rural is a few short miles.
Much of the Eastern part of the county is Atlanta suburbia, with its accompanying tract houses and strip malls!
Downtown Newnan is still classic small town America, with a center “Square” and shops, restaurants, and parks all within walking distance.
As you move beyond town, the county is very rural, with pastoral landscapes, grazing livestock, and a new state park!
Since it appeals to such a broad range of lifestyles, Coweta County offers something for every taste and preference!
And it is certainly worth a look to all considering a move to the Greater Atlanta area!

Rich vibrant colors. These are the sparks, flavor of what make your local community special. Neat to see blog posts not about just the sticks and bricks but where the real estate listings are scattered, more about the communities they are parked in. Built around.
Richard....now you are talking about my kind of town. Peaceful and where you know your neighbor.
Looks like another well done local post and a place everyone should try to visit at some point!
Beautiful countryside! Reminds me very much of the area that we live in. Great post ... as usual! Thanks for sharing your wonderful area with us.
Richard, this looks like something right out of "Doc Hollywood". What a charming town!
Beautiful pictures of "the country" Richard.
Hey, Richard! I included this post in Last Week's Favorites.
AR is having a glitch where many of us do not see any pictures. Kind of diminishes this post! Not your fault, Richard, but the timing of Pat's Favorites is sad...
Richard,
Love the pictures and sharing of Coweta. Lovely town and tons of great features.
All the best, Michelle
What a beautiful area. The "older" part of town (1st photo) reminds me of the style of a lot of buildings in downtown Hood River. I just love that era. Great photos!
