Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

I did something this morning that I haven’t done in years. And I should feel guilty about it but I don’t!

Coweta County SunriseWhen I awoke this morning, the room was much brighter that usual. The first thought that jumped into my mind was “oh my goodness, what time is it?”

It was 8:37 A.M. to be exact. It was official:

I had slept in!

And while that might be a common occurrence for many, for me it only happens if I’m ill. I never use an alarm clock as my natural internal rhythm stirs me out of bed at six every morning.

I guess that I was just really, really tired. Fortunately, I don’t have any appointments this morning so there was no adverse side-effects of my lethargy.

And it actually felt pretty good!

That is great and you should NEVER feel guilty about it.  Listen to your body is as important as listening to others.  (ps - change fell to feel)  I have done that and appreciate when someone tells me.  Innocent error.  Have a great day.

Sometimes the body overrides the brain!  I worked 17 days straight without a day off and on the 18th day this early riser slept in until 8:30 AM.

Go with the flow, brother. Your body is telling you what it needs.

Isn't it funny that we've been so conditioned, either through necessity or habit, to think we should not sleep unto 8:30 AM...and I'm just as guilty as everyone else; if I'm not sitting at my computer by 6:30, I think I'm dragging my feet.

Richard, no need to ask for forgiveness, when I sleep in (it's rare too) it is usually because I need the extra rest for some unknown reason.

I was up and at 'em this morning.  Expecting a traveling nurse to come by and do a blood draw and stuff for a life insurance screening.  Imagine my surprise when she was earlier than expected and I had just gotten out of the shower.

And, amazingly enough, the world is still spinning, the sun still rose, your clients are none the worse for it, and you finally got some much needed sleep!

Try to do that once a week and on those other days when you don't sleep in, you'll feel much better.

Sleeping in...one of the pleasures of life. Two and a half hours later is just not enough! Nice sky photo!

Great shot.

The only worse feeling in the world is running late and realizing you left your phone at home.

Should I get it or get it later yes,no,yes,no lol

Enjoy the shorter day

If you never set an alarm clock, you obviously needed the rest. No problem, mon.

I'm another one of those people with a very loud internal clock--I never use an alarm unless I have a very specific reason to be out of bed before 6:00 a.m. And even then, I usually wake up a couple minutes before the alarm is ready to sound.  About once every three weeks I make sure I've got a clear morning schedule and "give myself permission" to sleep in till about 8 or 8:30.  Sometimes I need it, but most of the time, I'm awake on schedule...

Thanks for all of the responses. As you might have imagined, I've been running a little behind all day, especially since AR had some downtime this morning!
