Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

Before you cross the line, think about where you might be heading!

Coweta County CourthouseThere is a natural tendency when faced with a tenuous situation to “take the plunge” and deal with the consequences later.

But you should always bear in mind that someone else’s interpretation of “dealing with the consequences” may differ from yours.

You might envision a nice roundtable discussion with everyone working together to achieve a harmonious resolution.

However, the harmed party might be thinking more along the lines of attorneys, juries, and torts.

Lawyers love gray areas, and are bound and determined to turn them into black letter law in the court of jurisprudence.

Before moving into unknown or unsure territory, always ask yourself:

Is it really worth the risk?

Bad tempers invite bad judgement. Self-control takes a lifetime to learn, but it pays to start early.

I have a friend who is an attorney. She tells me all the time to keep my mouth shut, to always think long and hard, to say, "I will get back to you on that", talk it over with someone else first. Best lesson I have learned. But oh how hard, you want to just jump in right away but you can't do that anymore.

Richard, here there are probably more lawyers per square foot than anyplace else on earth, and you learn pretty quickly how to keep the brain-to-mouth filter in high gear at all times - and to behave well!
