Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

Bidding on Newnan HUD homes is still robust. $100 Down Coweta HUD homes!

Newnan HUD homes for saleBidding on HUD homes for sale in Newnan Georgia is still competitive, even after the expiration of federal tax credits. There are several reasons why a HUD home should be considered by a prospective home purchaser.

First and foremost HUD homes are correctly priced based on a recent appraisal and inspection performed on the property.

Second, the bidding process is both fair and unambiguous. All owner-occupants have the same change of acquiring the property based on their bid!

Third, homes that qualify for an insured loan can be purchased with as little as $100 down by owner-occupants. In most cases, these purchasers will also qualify for a $1000 bonus! And HUD will also pay up to 3% of the purchase price for closing costs!

That's a cute little HUD home, Richard!

We've had some HUD homes that have been priced way too high.  The appraiser is from outside our market area, and some homes have had to stay on the market way to long before HUD will accept a bid.  One was priced at $350K and FINALLY sold for $196K.  Not sure what they are using for comps, but they are not good ones.

May I add that anyone considering buying a HUD home get a Realtor that knows what they are doing and the process. Only said this because I know you do Richard.

Now that is a nice home Richard. I agree with Cameron. Get a Realtor that knows what they are doing when it comes to HUD homes.
