Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

Today is “catch-up” day. And I can think of 57 things that I need to do!

57 ways to catch up!The past few weeks have been hectic with closings and HUD bids and several new listings. I haven’t had time to catch my breath.

And while I don’t have any appointments or time sensitive tasks scheduled for today, I have plenty to do. Because all of those chores that I put on the “back burner” have been simmering far too long and I really need to get them off the stove and on the table.

And that means that there is no rest for the weary, unless you consider a little less stress to be restful! These ancillary tasks need to be done, and I should be able to catch up on a lot of to-do’s today!

And believe it or not, I am looking forward to it!

There is nothing like the rush you get when everthing on your "have to do" list is complete.

Have a fantastic day, Richard!  I love my catch-up days - so triumphant at the end of the day!  Just because we don't have appointments scheduled doesn't mean that we are working like crazy behind the scenes making all the magic happen!

It is very nice to be busy, but really nice to find time to "ketchup" also, as the desk needs to get cleaned off eventually!

Richard:

Those are the kind of days that can lull you into a false sense of security. Just when you think all is calm and you are catching up, the phone begins to ring.

Richard, I had a three hour continuing education class on FHA, Va & RD financing yesterday although I got a lot of great information out of the class I admit I spent most of the time making a list of things to do for the next day. Today I have a list.

Get a list started with all your to-do's - then when you cross off each item you can feel a sense of accomplishment.  Of course, if that phone rings....  oh, well.  Maybe you can start that list over the weekend.

Posted by Katie McBride (RE/MAX Executive Realty) about 2 years ago

Isn't it amazing how we prioritize our to do list.  My goal on my to do list is to scratch off more than I add on that particular day or week.

Richard, today is my computer day, I have, for the past month and a half, been taking Friday's off from the psychical office and working from my daughters home watching the now 4 month old grandson. I have taken him with me to 2 closings, which he was the hit of by the way, a few showings, but mostly I take today to really catch up on things I need to study, projects I am working on. She put in a wireless router for me, I have access to a printer and scanner, and there you have it.

Enjoy your ketchup day, or is that catsup, not sure of that, LOL.

Richard:  I am one of those freaks that do consider less stress to be restful.  Running to the store is relaxation these days.

As backwards as it sounds, I can relax at home easier if I have spent the day getting through the ever present to-do list.

Richard, So glad to hear that you are busy! "Ketchup" day - I'm right there with you. It has been hectic, and I've been trying to do the same. So far, today's been a great day to clean off the desk.

It's amazing how fast things and especially paper work can pile up. I try and devote 1 day a week to catch it up and get ahead of things if possible.

Hi Richard!
I had the same kind of day...but made it fun by riding my bike to all of my errands!  I picked up some desk nameplates for my office, went by the bicycle shop and had a kickstand installed on my bike, dropped off the desk nameplates to my office, went to the grocery store and bought food for the weekend (and yes...you can fit all that food in bike saddlebags), went by my listing that is getting prepped to put on the market to check in with the contractor, dropped off the groceries to my house, went to the ice cream parlor for lunch and a visit with an old friend, went to my haircut appointment, went to Target and bought flowers for my garden (and yes...you can fit flowers for the garden in bike saddlebags) and went home. What a great day!

Very clever, Richard. I've enjoyed a few of those ketchup days recently as well - first in three months. I don't think I got near 57 things done though!
