It reached 60 degrees on a beautiful day in Newnan Georgia today. After all, this is supposed to be the sunny south!
Tomorrow we are expected to hit 67 degrees, but after that we will gradually return back to unseasonably cool weather, as Thursday’s HIGH temperature is predicted to only achieve the 35 degree mark!
This has been the coldest winter that I can recall since I moved to Georgia in 1973. We have experienced floods and heavy snowfall when typically we would be playing golf or working in the winter garden.
So I’ll enjoy the warm day tomorrow and will try to get going with some outside chores around the house. It’s something that I’m actually looking forward to doing!

Richard...if you captured that picture today, you truly captured today!
I was in the office all day, but did venture out for a few minutes to show a condo (that turned out to have no lockbox and be Under Contract after everyone wasted their time to go look at it....UGH!) and the streets and restaurants of Midtown were packed!
I should of captured some shots....
Sounds like tomorrow will be a fabulous day. Sunny and in the 60s are my favorite days. Enjoy. I'll just have to live through you tomorrow since all we can muster is a balmy 40 (which is way better than what we've had).
I used to live in S. Carolina - and yes, the winters were nice. But not as nice as the spring and the fall!
Stunning photo, Richard. Wish I could see something like that here, rather than all the white stuff!
Debi
I usually go fishing once a week but not this year. Not even once yet this year. It's so cold the fish have been sleeping. Next month I hope to be back.
Richard - our 4 mile walk on the Greenway here in Charlotte was packed with people Spring is in the air. Cheers
Richard, here it was in the 40s, and our six foot walls of snow melted down to about five. And it's dirty and gross! I'm ready for May.
Richard, I was really enjoying the warmth and sun today. Looking forward to another good day tomorrow...
Greatings from a very jealous Washingtonian. Like Pat said, it is melting, dirty, crunchy, and still impossible to park in DC! Makes it tough to show houses when you can't park!
Richard....gorgeous photo...you do good work and yes...I can see why you live there!
RIchaard, the photo is magnificent. Our weather was warm enough to melt some of the snow, but nothing that I would call balmy. I'm looking forward to spring and it can't come fast enough.
Richard,
Glad to hear that you are warming just a tad. Yup you've got it I am just a little jealous. :-))
Richard,
60 degrees is a distant memory this winter.
Rich
It's been the same here in Florida, Richard. Way too cold for me. Hopefully we're done with this cold weather. Hope to be near 80 today.
Well Richard, I hope you send some of that warm weather to the Jersey Shore...60 degress sounds like heaven!
Richard, I share you feelings. Here in Venice Florida it has been the coldest winter that I can remember since 1977. Today it is suppose to get above 70 degress but back to cold weather the rest of the week. Looking forward to this afternoon.
Now that is the Georgia I have visited for years...all that red clay without snow!
Geez Richard....you are missing, ice skating on the pond with a bit of hockey thrown in. Making snow forts and snowmen, then having a snowball fight. There is watching the diamonds fall in the night sky.
You are missing, the backbraking shoveling, chipping ice off of everything. The freezing of the hands, feet and everything else we hold dear to us.
Yup, you are missing the best part of the year. ;-}
I love your road shots. All that red Georgia clay leading to who knows where. What a great sounding day to go find out what lies at the end of the path.
