Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

Sometimes it takes teamwork to get a seemingly impossible job done!

Snow in Coweta County GAWhile touring the countryside looking for the perfect “snow” photo yesterday, we happened across an unfortunate motorist who had slid off the road into  a deep drainage depression.

It was a miracle the car did not flip over, as the drop from the road was significant. But luckily, all four wheels were still on the ground.

The driver, although very badly shaken, was unharmed. And the car was not damaged. The only real problem was getting the car back on the road!

I guess we could have called a wrecker, but several passers-by had stopped, and we instinctively got behind the car, instructed the driver to gently tough the accelerator, and we all pushed together and moved the car forward through the ditch until we came to a cross street.

No one said much during the rescue effort, other that ‘push” but by working together as a team we made a tough job easy, and the relieved driver was on her way!

It’s amazing what can be accomplished when individuals unite together for a common purpose.

And when the job is done, it feels pretty good!

Yes, snow will do that to people. One of the things I do miss about living in Buffalo is that we knew our neighbors because you might need their help in a snow storm. Great post

I am sure that is the unusual rather than the usual...the snow that is...let us know when you want/need more...we have some to spare. Team work can accomplish great things...giving each other a push, nudge in a positve direction can make all the difference.

Richard, another great photo! I love to take snow pictures but alas, not enough around this year up here! Winter is not over in New England however...

You are right about teamwork, and the driver was so lucky not to be injured.

Good morning Richard,

You experienced a great feeling because you took the time to care about someone in trouble. I know you made the driver eternally grateful and will remember the kindness and pass it on when she has the opportunity! Team work can make many things happen!

It always warms my heart to hear such stories of folks simply being good neighbors and working together. May we all keep such responses handy even after the snow is gone!

Great story, Richard!  Teamwork and cooperation has a multiplication factor - two people working together can often accomplish much more than those two people working separately.

It looks like you got your snow photo, too - nice one!

I am always amazed when strangers come together for a common purpose.  It doesn't matter that they've never seen each other and, with all probability, will never see each other again.  They work to get the goal accomplished and move on to the next task...never expecting anything in return.  Good job, Richard.

One of the best saying that I have ever heard and try to practice is "Many Hands Make Light Work".  The other side to this is you are not as tired when the job is done and one can accomplish more.

Hello Richard......Your post makes me smile and chuckle a bit cause we up here in "the Live Free or Die State" haven't gotten very little snow. One small storm, by NH standards. Nothing intentional, but I'm glad you have the snow this year and we don't!! Ha..... By the way southerners don't know how to drive in the snow. i hate to rub it in but NH is 40 degrees, clear and sunny today. I better be quiet....ha  the weather can and does change on a dime around NH.

Anyway, team work can and does accomplish the end result faster and easier usually. Have fun in the snow!!

Enjoy.....

On the flip side, it's amazing what doesn't get accomplished when team members just sit on their hands and are afraid to act -- then a single, strong person takes over and gets the job done.

This is why I always enjoyed team sports more than individual sports.  A lot of people behind a common goal is just fantastic, and sharing success is even better.

All I can say is, Wow, Richard. One, on the fantastic photo - reminds me of here in CT; and on the help...it isn't that often that you find situations like that, where people are willing to pitch in and lend a helping hand. That says alot about the people who engage in such acts of kindness - believe me, it shall not go unrewarded.
