Even though most of their compatriots have succumbed to shortening of the days and brisk gusts of wind, there are always a few stragglers that just won’t give up!
And although it’s the middle of November and we had a tropical storm that blasted though earlier in the week, there are still some small pockets of resistors here and there.
But the clock is ticking and time is running short, but as long as there are colored autumn leaves still hanging in there, I’ll keep the camera by my side. I shot this beautiful maple at the Male Academy Museum in Newnan Georgia this afternoon.
I suspect I’ll keep up the “hunt” until Thanksgiving!

Hi Richard! Lovely photo!
Richard...our few straglers are brown in color. They all get together and fall right after I have picked up their friends.
Hi Susan...
Have you gotten any sunshine yet? We has a beautiful weekend after the storm went through earlier this week.
Richard - I wished! LOL. We are in the middle of the THIRD snow storm this fall already!. Well at least the kids can go sledding. I sent Brian out with a camera :) ~Rita
Bill...
I always let the wind carry them to the neighbors yard because he seems to like getting them up! lol and thanks!
Rita...
We, we ARE in the sunny south! No snow yet, but hopefully, we'll get some for Christmas. Thanks, my friend.
Neat picture. Keeping the camera by your side let's you get those that use to "get away". I've always got mine on me. Even in the snow. Just never know.

Richard, I find great photo ops with color in all sorts of places. There are a few trees left here, not many, but so many other wonderful shrubs and bushes to take photos of, and corn fields, LOL. Love that photo!!!!
You ARE lucky Richard, we have been enjoying stellar weather but our trees are totally bare!
Really pretty and well composed shot, Richard. And you ARE lucky - NOTHING like that to be seen anywhere near here! Want some white stuff? We've got plenty of the white stuff!

Richard I have an Oak tree that will retain some leaves until springtime, I nicknamed it the spiteful tree.
I'm amazed that we still have some color around here. However, i'm sure it won't last much longer. Gorgeous photo.
Seems those Maples are the last to let go of their glory around here to. With all the tress bare around them they satnd out like in beauty like no other. Gotta love it.
Hi Richard, Is the maple your favorite tree? I did a post a couple of days ago titled: If you were a tree - what kind would you be? ( You know the old Barbara Walters question) You should go post your photo there. I'm going to do a post and a collage of the trees.
I was outside this afternoon shoveling the walk and I don't think there's a leaf to be seen... :) Ours have long since blown away. Keep shooting those colors while you can!
Cool picture Richard. Our colors are pretty much spent. Few pockets of good color left. Very few...
Helping YOU Live YOUR American Dream...
Very nice Richard. I'm guessing after the leaves fall, if there's a nice white storm this winter, I'll see some beautiful pictures from you.
Richard - It is nice to see leaves change colors. I noticed a single tree with golden leaves on my walk yesterday. For us, the change will happen, in January! Have a great week!
Great photo my friend. I need to get more shots of the Fall leaves before they are gone for the year myself.
