I always enjoy taking photos of Newnan Georgia. The town is nearly pristine, with a real movie-set quality that takes you back forty years in time.
As a matter of fact, many movies and television shows have been shot on location here in Newnan. The TV series "October Road" actually showed some of my listings in the background! The latest is movie is Zombieland, starring Woody Harrelson which was filmed here earlier in the year and set for release on October 2, 2009!
Hollywood comes to Newnan for the small town charm and appeal. I photograph it for the same reason!

Richard...most everyone knows your photographic work and the best shots start with good subjects. These photo's show you have an abundance of subjects!
Richard,
Your photos really capture the small town charm and appeal. I'll watch to see the background in the new movie coming out!
I always enjoy your pictures and these are no exception. Our downtown is going back to these bright colors and I love it.
Beautiful shots - thanks for sharing! :)
Richard,
These are very cool looking buildings.
Thank you for sharing them,
Ann
I just love the old architecture. Much more time was spent on the architectural details.
Hi Richard!

I am envious that you have such beautiful buildings...Sacramento has many of their own, but we also fell prey to the awful 70's architecture of propping up cement walls!
Richard, Looks a lot like downtown Franklin. I do like the old buildings and the old architecture... ☺
Helping you live your American dream...
Richard, you town of Newnan does have a lot of charm and you always show it off so well. BTW, how close is Newnan to the Smokies?
Thanks for the pics and information Richard. I love the history behind these scenes. So much more meaning than some of the new strip mall blight we see these days.
Bill...
I am very luck to have great subjects and a camera at my side at all times1 Thanks
Dorie...
I watched the trailer but you have to look very closely! Thanks for the comment
Charles...
It's a classic look and I love it! thanks for dropping in!
Richard:
What fabulous architecture. No wonder the Hollywood folks gravitate to your town. Could you please sneak onto their sets and snap some photos of the stars?
I know you are probably not a paparazzi type but your photos would be good and I always love behind the scenes movie making.
Neat to know that those movies were shot in your area Richard. As always, wonderful pics my friend, you know I love old buildings.
Richard, those are beautiful. My town is similar, and you have given me a wonderful idea, LOL. We also have had 2 movies done here, I don't know what the latest one was, I just can't remember, LOL, Tim Allen was in it, the other was Mr. Deeds.
I always tell Dad when you show Newnan things, he just can't figure out how I know such things, LOL.
Hi Richard,
I have always enjoyed your photos of Newnan. Keep 'em coming!
