The Hollow Restaurant originally was opened as "Catfish Hollow" restaurant in Tyrone Georgia in 1986. The name was derived from the house specialty, light and flaky catfish friend to a golden brown.
In 1991 the restaurant was moved to its current location at Thomas Crossroads in Coweta County. As the menu has expanded over time to offer dishes other than seafood, the name was changed to "The Hollow Steak and Seafood."
The signature dishes are delicious, such as the grilled grouper sandwich, the lobster stuffed grouper, and the red snapper. If you prefer a nice steak, the grilled sirloin is an excellent choice.
There are great appetizers such as the southern classic fried green tomatoes or the standby shrimp cocktail. You can also choose from an assortment of salads, including a wonderful shrimp salad.
Side dishes include mac and cheese, collard greens or sweet potato soufflé. And a glass of sweet tea and you're in southern style heaven.
One of the most popular promotions at the Hollow Steak and Seafood is the Thursday - Saturday seafood buffet. For one fixed price, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat seafood of nearly every kind, cooked fried, broiled or steamed! It's a great way to sample a variety of the great dishes offered in a single seating!
The Hollow Steak and Seafood is owned and operated by the same good folks as Golden's on the Square in Newnan, so you can expect the same quality and great service whether you are in downtown Newnan or at the Crossroads restaurant!
The Hollow Steak and Seafood is located just South of Thomas Crossroads, with entrances from both Highway 34 and Highway 154. There is ample parking available on site.

Lovely Localism Post! A perfect example.
Now, that's out of the way, it makes me hungry! It's 8:40, I just got hime nad my dinner is in the oven! I'm looking at the "Seafood Buffet" and feeling bad!
I love your post - Keep it up!
Sounds like a great place to me.... It's been a while since I've had fried catfish. Yummy.
Lisa,,,
Thanks, I enjoy bringing Newnan to the world!
Jesse...
It's succulent my friend, absolutely succulent!
How far is it from Newnan to Durham? LOL I would love to try their buffet!
Richard, looks like a terrific place, and similar to many in nearby Lancaster County. I'm not much on the "all you can eat," but I bet I'd really love a slice of pie and coffee there after a great tunafish sandwich.
Richard, I just have one thing to say, shrimp cocktail is NEVER a standby, LOL. Great post!
My wife made some fried green tomatoes the other night. Anything that has an all you can eat seafood buffet has to be a good place. Of course, that's pretty bad for my weight dude.
