Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

Your perspective always depends on where you are. How do you expect to see anything differently if you stay in the same place?

Perspective by Richard WeisserPerspective is always determined by point of view. How we see things both visually and cognitively is always bounded by our frame of reference. The constraints of our system of thought restrict our ability to see beyond the familiar.

Therefore, in order to gain a new perspective, we must address one or all of the previously declared premises. To achieve a fresh outlook, we could:

  1. Change our point of view.
  2. Use our imagination.
  3. Implement new systems.
  4. All of the above!

And although euphemisms and clichés abound to describe the phenomenon of creative adaptation, I shall refrain from using them. It isn't necessary.

They are already running through your mind!

I like this, thanks Richard. I am facing a very big challenge, or so I am assuming, based on the players, that it will be a challenge for me. On the phone with a friend last nite whom is my reality in a positive world check person, and I hers, she made a few very simple observations that I was not looking at. Changed my whole perspective. Although it will still be difficult, a change in my attitude will make a huge difference for me in handling the situation.

Great post!

(Apparently for me this morning, my real challenge was to spell the word challenge, LOL. Not a good sign.)

Andrea...

Lol, and for me, the challenge today was to construct a more esoteric post, that would inspire the most introspective readers to comment! You made the "A" list! ;)

Toula...

Yeah, I could have said it in a lot less words, but I had fun crafting this entry! lol and thanks.

Change can be good, but it's not always pleasant! Also, easier said than done. Thanks for the idea though, I think the key is changing "where you're at" so you can change the rest!!!!

Good morning Sir,

I like your four points my friend and agree with #4 but could I wait until tomorrow to implement #3.  Maybe I'll just ask Richard and see what he has to say.

Richard - it is another one of the twists of karma, with two similar and point posts back to back. Rebecca has a like message, but a bit more humorous. I will be getting a perspective from 40,000 feet here in a few hours, and then from the north left coast for a week.

Richard...our perspective depends a lot on having an open mind to see all facets.   An off shoot to Don comment...Where did Ask Richard go?

Hi Richard, Looking at things from several different angles, will give us perspective. I was reminded about being in the parade- where you only see the person in front of you, being a spectator, or being an eagle flying above the parade- same parade- totally different viewpoints.

It is amazing how different something can look just by changing perspective. When I go to meeting I always try to sit in a different seat at the conference table. Even that makes a difference. Thanks for the post!

Happy Tuesday!!

I try my best to adapt and change. I see it as an important part of life and growth in general. Besides, who wants to do the same old thing all the time anyway?

Marilyn...

Change is inevitable if we are going to grow! Thank you so much for the comment.

Don...

Richard says that as long as we are breathing, we should be ready to face change. Thanks, my friend.

Mike...

Will you get a chance to visit the gang at AR? THX

Change is great. I'm enjoying it more every day as I change my direction. Should have done it a while ago. Speaking of change, when will we see you on Twitter?
