Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

The blog blahs of Summer are setting in for the season.

Roses blooming in early summerAfter two years of blogging, I have definitely noticed that the quantity of blog posts always drops over the summer months.

There are plenty of logical reasons for the phenomenon, and it only stands to reason that in a world of immediate priorities, something has got to give.

The kids are out of school, vacations are taken, and there are a lot more outdoor activities and chores that need to be done in the warm months.

Nobody wants to spend good daylight hours sitting in front of a computer keyboard hunting and pecking out a diatribe about short sales or interest rates. That scenario is much more palatable during the cold and dark nights of winter.

But summer is also a time for reading and relaxation. So even if the muses don't whip you into a creative frenzy and stir you into penning a masterpiece, there is still sufficient material to be perused and absorbed.

So grab a beverage, sit down, and enjoy some good blog offerings. And if you have an extra thirty seconds, a comment or two is always nice, and very welcome!

Hi Richard:

I wish I could say that my reason is because I'm taking time off...

But for me, I'm just so overwhelmed with work.

How I miss summer in Atlanta!  Well, okay, so we were north of Atlanta, up in Cherokee County...but what a surprise the summers were...absolutely wonderful, warm but not so humid.  Drive a few hundred miles north, though, to DC and the summer can be miserable with all the humidity.  Amazing how that works!

p.s.  Forgot to mention how gorgeous the photo is...a client brought 2 1/2 dozen roses to me at a recent closing...they were a beautiful ivory color at the base, with a pink tint that slowly darkened as you went toward the top of the flower. Absolutely exquisite.  I have always loved flowers, but having such a bounty on the table just spoiled me and I haven't been without fresh cut flowers ever since...your photo really caught my eye.

Richard - I am still not used to the humidity of Georgia in the summer, so there will still be days when I am more than happy to sit in front of a key board.

Hi Richard ~ Give me some good A/C and I'll keep writing, reading and commenting.  It has occurred to me though that I better take all the photos that I'll need until fall over the next few weeks - my enthusiasm for roaming the streets of the city in the heat and humidity will be limited. Right now we're in a cold stretch - finally getting over 60 today - but soon enough it will be time for the office battles over the thermostat.
