Coweta Fayette Real Estate & Newnan Homes for sale blog by Richard Weisser of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

Maybe I just don't see things the way other people do! But you still better listen to me.

Experiment in Abstract Though by Richard WeisserI have always been something of a loner. My persona is more of being an outsider than a renegade, but I have always had a hard time fitting in to the "normal" scheme of things.

And, I am at times very vocal about my opinions. I have a very acute built-in ability to cut through the fluff and puffery and see straight through to the bottom line, It gives "cutting to the chase" a whole new meaning.

I can read between the lines, interpret facial expressions, and dissect language with lightning speed and formulate a conclusion in the wink of an eye. And yes, I am a very good poker player.

And just because I see things a bit differently and jump to conclusions, it doesn't mean that I'm wrong or that I haven't thought the subject completely through. It just means that I'm analytical.

Although some might describe me by dropping the last three syllables from that word!

Richard - you have described me to a tee, although I have rarely been accused of being analytical.

Posted by Mike Saunders (Lanier Partners) about 3 years ago

Richard, When I worked in Corporate America they would periodically do those exercises trying to determine a persons "style." I was so far in the analytical range it was laughable. Everybody wanted to be the cool kid on the block and get into the "creative" quadrant. But when they needed someone dependable...it was the analyticals they came to to get things done. Wear your AR'ness with pride.

Active Rain (AR), anal retentive (AR). We don't believe in coincidences. Rich

Richard,

I, too, am extremely analytical. And opinionated, and stubborn....my dad always contributed that to me just being a female...HA! I always knew he was wrong.

Analytical is good in some people(even if it sometimes involves the dropping of the last 3 syllables) if it does not lead to paralysis by analysis.

Or, your ability to "cut to the chase" could be attributed to experience.

Richard...Being able to pick up on things quickley is an inherited talent.  Something that comes in handy all during our lives.

Richard, I don't see anything wrong with being analytical. Your ability to "cut to the chase" shows you don't over analyze things to death when it comes to making a decision. I'll take analytical over "shooting from the hip any day".

RW, I was thinking as I was reading the last line "I hope Mel doesn't rip him a new one" and she comes out playing nice.  Go figure!!

Richard - There's nothing wrong with being analytical!  I like the way you develop an idea succinctly!

I rarely cut to the chase, I like to beat around the bush as much as I can. Alright, that's not true as you know, but I never really get called analytical or anal. Mostly just an ass.

Posted by JL Boney, III Columbia, SC Real Estate (Russell and Jeffcoat) about 3 years ago

Richard, it just seems to work for you. I have a small amount of analytical in me that pops out when I need it.

Richard... Dude, you rock... opinion-up!

I love the Oscar Wilde saying, and use it in my emails: Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.

I like your comments here on AR and I appreciate the dialogue we've enjoyed. You're right, you just say it straight out. I especially appreciate your straight forward style, you just put it out there. Your points and opinions are clear and you ask great questions. It's never with malice, you never 'work the system', you're never kissin' anyone's *ss or sucking up to someone to get points...

For that my friend, I thank you!

Or just being a know-it-all, but it's a mantle that I wear proudly! Thanks as always.

Bill...

It comes in handy for me, that's for sure. Thanks, my friend!

Richard, the only thing I am anal about is time.  I am punctual to a fault.  I'm not especially analytical and you are not especially a loner... you have reach across the miles to be friends with many of us.

I could say most of the following about myself as well:  I can read between the lines, interpret facial expressions, and dissect language with lightning speed and formulate a conclusion in the wink of an eye. And yes, I am a very good poker player.....

But, I am a very bad poker player.  Every thought and emotion crosses my face as it crosses my thoughts.

Richard, with all you do and your musical ability, I find it very difficult to believe you are a loner.  But, I'll listen to you even if I don't agree with you!!!

Thinking outside the box is where the great ideas come from!  I'm glad that you're proud of who you are, and not apologetic.
