On the first Saturday of every month from April through December, local vendors set up shop around the old courthouse square for Newnan Market Days.
Hosted by Main Street Newnan, the once a month event brings citizens from throughout the county and beyond to historic downtown Newnan for local fare, crafts, and unique items available for purchase.
The event is typically from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. but on a beautiful day many of the vendors will stay as long as there is interest in their wares. And while you're downtown, you can visit the independent local merchants who comprise the core foundation of Main Street Newnan.
Downtown Newnan is vibrant, alive and a lot of fun, and those considering a move should keep the town on their short list of potential places to live in Georgia!
There's just something about the quality of life in a small town!

and they say the ticket is the big city. Not exactly. it's in the eye of the beholder. You make your area shine
My small town is growing but has managed to preserve the sense of community and small town feeling. Our historical downtown center gives us architectural presences from the 1870s but the conveniences of a performing arts center, five star restaurants, antique shops, etc. We are the fasting growing town in the nation with a population over 100,000 yet still see moms with their babies in strollers, people walking their dogs around lakes and parks, the comforts and great lifestyle. Sounds a lot like your community, a wonderful place to call home.
We call them, Farmers Marketts up in my area. Great for all the fresh produce and other needed and wanted items.
