I was driving out in rural Meriwether County last weekend. I was intent on putting out signs directing buyers and agents to my new listing on a large tract of land.
It was a time-consuming trip that I wasn’t really looking forward to making, but duty calls and I needed to get those signs out. But as I got further and further from civilization, I noticed that the recent rains had triggered a profuse blooming of wildflowers along the roadside.
At one point, I was so overwhelmed by the display that I had to pull over for s photo or two. And when I exited the truck, I was immediately inundated with clean, fresh air perfumed with the fragrance of honeysuckle and wild roses.
I lingered for a little while, taking in all of the beauty of creation. Suddenly, my mission was transformed from perfunctory work to a casual drive in the Georgia countryside.
No one ever said that you can’t enjoy your job!
