I am in the market for a new guitar amplifier so I decided to do a little web research.
I visited a few online sites, and I finally found a decent amp at a fair price. But like all significant purchases I make, I decided to sleep on it.
Imagine my surprise the next day when I logged onto FaceBook and low and behold, there was an ad for the EXACT amplifier from EXACTLTY the same store I had been checking out online the day before.
I’m not sure how they tracked me. It may have been by analyzing referral links, or the guitar site could have placed a token or cookie inside my browser, but track me they did.
So my question is this:
Is EVERYTHING in life today just a sale tactic? Havndwe gone too far with technology?
I kind of feel like we have.
